Dismantling Barns, Old Barn Demolition
The dismantling or demolition and salvaging of old barns, barn boards and beams is a positive use of an existing resource that often is overlooked.
From a dismantled barn are salvage barn timbers, old lumber such as weathered siding, barn boards and old plank flooring from the hay mow. Barn removal and barn salvage rescues old used lumber and beams.
Recycled wood retains the aged patina and character distributed by a lifetime of daily toil and exposure to the elements. This old salvaged wood has been crafted by both man and time.
We recommend that old barns be repaired and reused if possible, however, once the roof starts going, the barn boards and beams will quickly start to decay. The trend is to reclaim, recycle our old barns and the valuable old boards and timber.
